Multi-professional Therapy Team
The Vale Federation is fully committed to working in a holistic manner with a multi-professional team, enabling our pupils to reach their full potential in all aspects of their life.

Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT)
The Federation’s Speech and Language Therapists provide life-changing treatment, support, and care for pupils who have difficulties with communication, eating, drinking, and swallowing.
Working across both schools within The Vale Federation, and led by our Speech and Language Team Leaders, specific resources and therapy is provided, as required by Educational Healthcare Plan for each pupil.
The Speech and Language Therapy Team are based at each school and operate across school term time.

Occupational Therapy (O/T)
Our Occupational Therapists Partner, The Pace Centre, helps pupils improve their ability to do everyday tasks that are important to them. OT is about helping children become more independent by overcoming challenges relating to daily life activities. These include play, learning, dressing, eating and going to sleep.
A child’s physical development will be supported by the therapists, helping pupils to manage their emotions and use their senses to understand the world around them (this is known as sensory processing). Specific resources and therapy is provided, as required by Educational Healthcare Plan for each pupil.
The Occupational Therapy Team are based at each school and operate across school term time.

Physiotherapy (Physio)
Our Physiotherapists Partner, The Pace Centre, are specialists in posture and movement because of their training in neurological and musculoskeletal systems. The Physiotherapists have specialist knowledge of physiotherapy in children, understanding how children develop their physical skills. Specific resources and therapy is provided, as required by Educational Healthcare Plan for each pupil.

Special School Nurse (SSN)
Our Special School Nurse Partner, Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT), provides the school with a fully trained school nurse who is based at the school every day during school term time. We have a dedicated medical area at the school and other associated equipment.
