School Information

Booker Park School, part of The Vale Federation, is a large primary special school of 241 pupils with a broad diversity of complex needs, including Profound and Multiple, and Severe Learning Difficulties, and a small minority of pupils with Moderate learning difficulties. Almost half of the pupils have an additional diagnosis of an autistic spectrum condition.

Our aim is to Inspire, Enable, and Achieve. We look to inspire our pupils to engage in learning, enable them to realise their greatest level of independence and emotional resilience, and recognise and celebrate their achievements, both now and in the future.

We are honoured to have a dedicated and skilled team who fulfil their roles to a standard of excellence. Working together is at the heart of what we do, and our relationship with parents, carers, and professionals to help our young people succeed enables that. The team of professionals includes onsite speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and a school nurse.

We are fortunate to have wonderful facilities, including two large halls, an ICT suite, a hydrotherapy pool, a soft play centre, a library, an observational mirror room, dark room, and sensory theatre. We have lots of wonderful outdoor spaces, including our MUGA, Forest School and outdoor learning spaces. The school has several minibuses including those with a tail lift to ensure our children can access the wider community for learning. We also have a number of meeting rooms which provide a comfortable environment for parents to meet as well as being an excellent location for courses and workshops.
